If you have flown to San Juan and are looking for some gaming on your holiday, you will find no better casino in Puerto Rico or the Southern Caribbean than the one that sails each Sunday on Adventure of the Seas.

The casino on Adventure -- similar in size to the casinos on sister-ships Navigator of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas -- has action for everyone.
On a midsummer sailing, Adventure's Casino Royale was packed each night with VIP players wagering up to $2,000 per hand on blackjack as well as passengers having a good time at the lower stakes tables.
Adventure's casino offers five multi-deck blackjack games, two single-deck blackjack, one Caribbean stud poker, two three-card poker, one Let It Ride, three roulette tables and one craps table.
Surrounding the tables are 200+ slots offering players a variety of wagering opportunities ranging from 1 cent to $25.
The one game that is not as well represented on Adventure as on some other Royal Caribbean ships is Texas Hold 'em. The Casino Royale on Adventure has neither a separate poker room nor a large poker table, offering Texas Hold 'em at a blackjack-style table in the main casino area.
On this sailing, the casino generally was still going strong at 1 in the morning -- and remained open most nights until between 3 and 4 am.
The dealers on Adventure were not only competent, but -- as is generally the case in Royal Caribbean casinos -- among the friendliest you will find at sea.
Casino management was extremely attentive to members of Royal Caribbean's Club Royale VIP players club. Drinks in the casino were comped, and other goodies (such as fruit baskets, champagne and boxes of chocolates) regularly turned up in some staterooms as well.
This casino is highly recommended, and if you are looking to combine a week of island hopping in the Southern Caribbean with some gaming action, hop onto Adventure where the Casino Royale is a better bet than the casinos on any of the islands.
