Costa's newest and largest chips -- the Costa Serena and the Costa Concordia -- both stay in the Mediterranean all year, so their casinos are designed for the European market (somewhat smaller than casinos on the same-class Carnival ships, but with lots of roulette tables and slots).

The Concordia's Barcelona Casino (above) derived the inspiration for its decor from work of the famed Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi.
The Serena's Giano Casino (right) has a very strong red and green motif.
The newest ships are a slighly larger version of the Costa Magica and Costa Fortuna, even though the Concordia and Serena have slightly smaller casinos.
All of the Costa ships which have joined the fleet since 2000 -- including the Costa Atlantica (shown below) and the Costa Mediterranea -- offer blackjack tables, a poker table and miscellaneous other table games as well as roulette and slots.
Members of the Ocean Players Club, which was pioneered on Carnival Cruise Lines ships, can request that they be rated when playing table games in Costa cruise ship casinos.
However, the Ocean Players Club slot system is not yet available in Costa cruise ship casinos, and slots in the Costa casinos are not linked to the Ocean Players Club Megacash progressive jackpot.
The casino in the Costa Atlantica's sister ship, the Costa Mediterranea, is shown at right.
Older Costa ships have smaller casinos with fewer table games.
